HOPE AND LIGHT ACADEMY
The school started in January 2016 it has done for K.C.P.E Examinations currently the school a Junior secondary grades from 7, 8 and 9. Many orphans from Hope’s House Kenya Children’s Home do have their basic needs met, Food, shelter, clothing and Education. There is an open free admissions and scholarship for any orphan below ten years with the prove of two dead certificates of mother and Father as well as the child’s birth certificate that shows the parents. If the child orphan is in Baby class, he/she will be cared in the Children’s home and learn in Hope and light academy more than 12 years and honor and glory will be for the Living God and Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior.

The land property of Hope and Light Academy has several contributions, the first part was bought by Elizabeth Chavoustie from USA that is an ecre piece of land this was the year 2015 to 2017 because we paid through instalments. The piece of land costed Ksh. 1M. The additional piece of land a half an ecre was bought by Pastor Peter Mulongo Kuyuni in the year 2020 after selling his land of Bidii it costed him Ksh. 1M The total land for school is one and a half ecres. Currently ( this year 2026 ) the land is worthy Ksh. 3M.
EXPANDED SCHOOL VISION
The governor has advised all primary schools in Kenya to register for Junior secondary this involves Grade 7, 8 and 9. These three classes need to be built in the primary schools. The total classes in primary and Junior secondary will be twelve. Meaning the orphan will leave our orphanage after learning twelve years added to the years before he/she joined play group or pre-primary. The orphan will be approximately 15 years old.
We are having hard time paying school fees in other schools because we don’t have Junior secondary and Senior Secondary. Currently , we have a total of 30 orphans in Grade 6 who need to join Grade 7 in Junior secondary next year, it will be costly to pay their school fees in other schools. The time we will have our Junior secondary and Senior Secondary, actually we will help many orphans. The only level they will need is the University and the college

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
Mark 10:13-16., “And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.”
Jesus valued children and made them examples for Christians values. The future generations will be at mess when no Christian Foundation established for the young children.
However, the church should recognize the extreme potential and openness of children to the Gospel and the things of God. As a result, we should prioritize reaching children at such a critical age. When we wait to lay that foundation of truth when they are teenagers or adults, we miss the most influential years of their lives, and many will consequently deal with years of the enemy’s deception toward the things of God.
The goal of the Children ministry is to ensure children have personal relationship with Jesus. When the children have a strong foundation on the solid word of God, then the future generations will be healed through Salvation in Christ Jesus.
Compose songs out of the learning materials from the Bible
Create drama ( play) from the learning materials from the Bible
Create video class from the learning materials of the Bible.
make child to child questions from the lessons of the Bible.
Arrange memory verses from the lessons of the Bible.
Teach children oral translation from English to swahili and swahili to English and Bible terms.
Identify and stir up other talents of the children like athletic, soccer, comedian, news reporter, Preacher etc
The orphans and other children will spread the truth to other children, youths, to crusades, conferences, private and public schools.
As we apply this program we shall focus on safety of the child, age setting, dedicated volunteers, interactive activities and family partnership.
